Launch Party!

A big thank you goes to all the family and friends who attended the launch party for “Elliot and the Goblin War” on Saturday. We sold out of books (all those ordered in plus my 13 remaining authors copies), except for one book my in-laws didn’t buy because they wanted the store to have at least one left in stock. That was just amazing to me. So many people came forward wanting to buy multiple copies. Wow!

The cake was made by Dick’s Bakery just down the street from Fire Petal Bookstore, where our event was held. Dick’s is a longtime favorite of mine, but they really outdid themselves here. They replicated the book with a separate smaller cake on top of the cake I ordered, then used edible images from the book on the cake. It was so beautiful I couldn’t cut into it, so I left to go sign books and let someone else do it.

My apologies to everyone who had long waits in line and I thank you for your patience. It was great to see old friends, fun to make some new ones, and awesome to receive the support of family. My gratitude to Fire Petal Bookstore for your assistance and your smiles despite the chaos.

If anyone missed the event and still wants a book signed, I’ll be signing at the Barnes and Nobles near the fountains at the Gateway Mall on Friday, October 15 from 2-4 pm.
